Sketch - Cute Patch 1

Remember this little guy?

This originally was something I sketched up some time ago just completely at random for fun; I called him a ‘gremlin’ since I didn’t know what else to call him.
After I sketched him out though, I didn’t give him any thought until he seemed to grab the attention of someone, suddenly I started to think more on him and he started to develop a bit of a character.

This little guy is Patch and he’s a gremlin (called that because no one knows what he really is).
Patch is an orphan, he usually hangs out with another group of kids that are orphans and/or runaways. The problem is that while they are really the only people he ever knew, he never really felt like he was a part of the group; often being left behind or left tagging along while the others do other things. However, he does try to be cheerful and optimistic, though sometimes that means burying things deep down.

This is just a sketch I wanted to try with him being simple and cute.
